Common question
What does NCSA Approved mean?
The Newborn Care Specialists Association sets the professional Scope of Practice and ethical standards for NCS professionals in the United States. NCSA Approved means our curriculum has been reviewed and meets their standards for professional NCS education. Pro Newborn Care™ is one of a small number of NCSA Approved training programs in the country.
Common question
Who is Pro Newborn Care™ best for?
Pro Newborn Care™ is the right choice for nannies, postpartum doulas, babysitters, healthcare professionals, and career changers who want to specialize in newborn care. Our graduates work with families across the United States in live-in, overnight, and daytime NCS roles, earning some of the highest rates in the childcare industry.
Common question
How much do Newborn Care Specialists earn?
NCS professionals are among the highest-paid caregivers in the childcare industry. In 2026, working NCS professionals typically earn between $35 and $60+ per hour for shift-based work, and between $350 and $1200+ per 24-hour day for live-in arrangements. Experienced NCS professionals in major markets like New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami often earn significantly more. Rates increase with experience, additional credentials, and specialized skills like sleep consulting.
